The Architect DJ Davey B is a New York based DJ and producer best known for his club sets at legendary NYC venues like China Club and Webster Hall, his remix work for Crooklyn Clan & DJ City, mixshows for NY radio station K104.7, and his guest sets at venues across the country.
Born and raised in Westchester, NY, Davey B first established himself in the New York, New Jersey, Connecticut tri-state area through his club gigs and residencies at classic NYC venues like China Club, Show, Float, Eugene’s, and Discotehque, spinning a combination of both hip-hop and house music. As the all-genre mashup movement developed, he made his mark in the DJ world through his production, releasing his first official recording, “Gold Digger’s Anthem”, featured on the Crooklyn Clan EP Treatz Vol 2 on Crooklyn Clan Records.
Davey B solidified his name by putting out numerous remixes on websites & record pools run by such heavyweights as Crooklyn Clan (www.crooklynclan.net), DJcity (www.djcity.com), DJ Skribble & Sal Parm (www.campmash.com), Funkmaster Flex (www.franchiserecordpool.com), and many of the other top DJ record pools in the game. His work was recruited by UFC Welterweight Champion Matt Serra to create a custom entrance theme song to be played at all of his fights. The track, titled “You Don’t Want Beef”, was first played at Matt Serra’s victorious title match, airing to an international audience of 4 million people on Pay Per View for UFC 69’s Main Event. Davey B continued to maintain club gigs at NYC nightlife staples such as Webster Hall, Hudson Terrace, Cellar Bar, 230 Fifth, and the Dream Hotel, and in addition, began traveling to clubs across the country, playing alongside some of the biggest names in the industry such as DJ Riz, DJ Sizzahandz, and DJ Vice.
Spreading his musical style to the masses, Davey B has been a mixshow DJ for various radio stations throughout the United States, with his longest tenure coming on New York’s K104.7 (WSPKFM). As part of K104’s night show, Davey B’s Top 40 Hit Mix is consistently the Arbitron rated #1 most listened show in its market and time slot.
Aside from his production and radio work, DJ Davey B currently spins at over 150 events a year, ranging from nightclubs in cities like NY, Miami, and LA, to events for corporate clients such as WWE, Armani Exchange, H&M, and Jameson, along with a mixture of other high-end private events.
