Biography

The Architect DJ Davey B is a New York based DJ and Producer best known for his club sets at legendary NYC venues like China Club, Webster Hall, Touch, and NV, his remix work for Crooklyn Clan & DJ City, mixshows for NY radio station K104.7, as well as his guest sets at venues across the country. His style fuses a mainstream mix of all musical genres, appealing to a diverse range of crowds and demographics.

Davey B got his start deejaying local bars in Westchester and The Bronx long before he could legally drink in any of them. Those local bar residencies quickly turned into local nightclub residencies, where he began honing his skills, making friends, and building relationships that would soon propel him into major club venues throughout the tri-state area. Since then, Davey B has maintained numerous club gigs and guest spots, deejaying at NYC nightlife staples such as Webster Hall, Guesthouse, Touch, Cellar Bar, Manor, 230 Fifth, and BLVD, along with legendary venues like China Club, Show, Supper Club, NV, Float, Eugene’s, and Discotehque, to name a few.

Davey B met and caught the ear of Crooklyn Clan’s DJ Sizzahandz with his production and mash-up skills and subsequently put out his first official recording, “Gold Digger’s Anthem,” that same year. The track was a party break released as part of the Crooklyn Clan EP Treatz Vol 2 on Crooklyn Clan Records. He continued to impress with his deejaying and production skills, landing him a weekly mixshow on K104 (WSPKFM), the premiere top 40 radio station broadcasting out of Poughkeepsie, NY. After airing a couple shows, the station quickly asked Davey B to be an everyday mixer, landing him a prime time slot on weekdays. His mixshow, “The 7 O’clock Party Starter Mix”, generated a major buzz with its diverse yet commercially appealing programming, featuring many of his original remixes and mashups. As Davey B’s buzz heightened, he was invited to be part of the Crooklyn Clan crew of protégés, the Crooklyn Clan All-Stars, and was subsequently offered a management deal with top DJ booking agency CEG Talent.

Davey B is currently represented independently and continues to rock clubs and mixshows across the country. His remixes are released through his self-founded label, Arch Records, as well as websites & record pools run by such heavyweights as Crooklyn Clan (www.crooklynclan.net), DJcity (www.djcity.com), and formerly DJ Skribble & Sal Parm (www.campmash.com). In 2007, his work reached new masses as his Rocky sampling party break titled “You Don’t Want Beef” was licensed and used by UFC Welterweight Champion Matt Serra as his entrance music for his victorious title match, airing to an international audience of 4 million people on UFC 69’s Pay Per View Main Event. The song has since become Matt Serra’s theme music and is played at all his UFC fights.

Never satisfied, Davey B looks to further establish his name in the DJ, radio, and production world through his mixshows, production, and live DJ performances.
